October's Challenge: Escape and Entrapment

Updated: Oct 30, 2020

This month we will explore the concepts of ESCAPE and/or ENTRAPMENT using any element(s) of design and composition that work for your ideas.  I find these words particularly evocative right now as we pass the 6 month mark of living in a pandemic. Each artist will have a different response and I  am excited to see what this challenge sparks in you!

The subject can be anything you want:

  • You can work abstractly by using elements of design and composition that elicit the feeling of ESCAPE and/or ENTRAPMENT for you

OR

  • You may work with the idea of ESCAPE and/or ENTRAPMENT as a concept for your subject matter.

Regardless of what inspires you, the challenge is to focus on elements of design and composition to explore the concepts of ESCAPE and/or ENTRAPMENT.  Enjoy and be brave!

And here are the responses we shared on October 28th.
