The Chemainus Art Group is thrilled to host a guest artist at our monthly Meet-Up on the 2nd Wednesday of the month. It's always inspirational when our guests talk to us about their work, do a demo or lead a work-along. Here is what we have planned for the Fall 2026 schedule.
September 9 2026 Eileen Williamson
Coastal Landscape Painting in Acrylic
Eileen Williamson is a Canadian artist known for her bold landscape paintings. She works in various mediums but prefers acrylics as they allow for spontaneous and immediate results.
Much of Williamson’s recent work has evolved from plein air sketching. Her artist backpack carries pencils, drawing pad and a tin of watercolour paints. Williamson says that she never knows what she might find on her walkabouts and what gems might take back to the studio to work in later.

Tylor McNeil has been a full-time professional oil painter since 2017, with gallery representation in Halifax, Nova Scotia, at 14 Bells Gallery, and working with The Butchart Gardens in Victoria, BC.

movement, balance, and intuitive mark-making. Guided by both experimentation and restraint, her practice has been shaped through mentorship with international artists and an ongoing
curiosity about process-driven abstraction. Her work continues to evolve through exploration of flow, texture, and quiet visual tension
