Abstract Poppies - Josee Duffhuis Workshop - $40 (1)

This is a short workshop with Josee Duffhuis. The fee for this workshop is $40 for members. Josee will be walking us through creating our own verion of her wonderful abstract poppies just in time for Remembrance Day. Here is the supply list for this workshop:

Paints:

Burnt Umber

Mars Black

Titanium White

Cadmium Red Deep Hue (or Anthraquinone Red)

Napthol Crimson (or Pyrrol Red--or a light bright red)

Cadmium Yellow Deep

Other supplies and tools needed:

1" flat brush

one small pointed palette knife

2 1/2" narrow palette knife (I've discovered that inexpensive plastic palette knives are best for these particular paintings, though artists can try to work with thinner metal knives if they're used to using these).

1 or 2 gesso primed canvases (canvas sizes may vary from 11 x 14" or 12 x 16" or even 10 x 20" though I would not advise larger than 24" height)

(artists are asked to gesso their canvases at home)

Paper towels

Water container for brushes

Palette for mixing and pickup of paints
