Bound in Creativity: Exploring Bookbinding and Art Journals with Nadine Wong

Nadine is a book artist, crafting an eclectic array of hand-bound books using a mix of handmade papers, ephemera, recycled materials and upcycled books.  she had a passion for crafting since childhood which has evolved into teaching others.  In her thirties, she delved into the world of paper arts and bookbinding, developing her skills as a self-taught mixed media artist through experimentation and drawing inspiration from fellow artists.

In this one-day workshop, you'll learn the basics of bookbinding and leave with a hand-bound book and an art journal to embellish as you wish, along with the skills to create your own bound books or journals.

Self Adhesive Cutting Board

Metal Ruler (non slip, cork back)

Bone Folder

Stylus Tool

Exacto Knife

Eraser

Pencil

Scissors

Needle Awl

If there are tools you do not have, Nadine will have tools to share.

A supply kit will be provided  (please bring $20 to the workshop)
