MIXED MEDIA PAINTING - Silvina Lanusse - $80

This is a two day workshop. On the first day you will learn to make prints using Gelli plates, acrylic paints, handmade stamps, stencils, and various mark making tools. You will be making your own collage paper incorporating pens, crayons, and pencils. 

Do you have handwritten letters or postcards? Bring them with you to make a beautiful keepsake.

On the second day you will create a mixed media piece using your handmade collage paper as well as some new techniques with acrylic paint and inks on a 12" X 12" wood panel.

You will fall in love with mixed media and all its potential!

Silvina will guide you step by step through her creative process so that at the end you will be

able to take home a finished piece.

Silvina will bring some general supplies and materials she commonly uses to share with the

students. A supply list will be provided.

Silvina Lanusse is a mixed media creative originally from Buenos Aires, Argentina now living in

Parksville. Her work is inspired by nature around her. Her painting begins the moment the first

drop of colour falls on her substrate. It starts with a swirl, then another. Layers of pure colour

dance in rhythm with textures.  Her painting varies from colourful abstracts to whimsical

stories. Organic strokes held together in a symphony of radiant paint bursting like her life tango.
