Our workshops are now open for non-members!  Chemainus Art Group Members have priority for the first 30 days of registration, after which registration will open to non-members, space permitting.

We are offering some exciting workshops for the fall season.  Members can register in our Members Only Section of this website.

Tylor McNeil - Oil Painting

Date:  Friday September 27th 2024
Time:  10am to 4:00pm
Cost:  $60 for non-members

 

The workshop begins with a focus on understanding the palette and color charting before delving into the complexities of oil painting, which Tylor simplifies into three manageable steps.

Nadine Wong - Bound in Creativity: Exploring Bookbinding and Art Journals

Date:  Friday November 1st 2024
Time:  10am to 4:00pm
Cost:  $60 for non-members

 

In this one-day workshop, you'll learn the basics of bookbinding and leave with a hand-bound book and an art journal to embellish as you wish, along with the skills to create your own bound books or journals.

Mary-Ann Gordon - The Positives of Negative Painting!

Date:  Friday November 29th 2024
Time:  10am to 4:00pm
Cost:  $60 for non-members

 

Join the adventure of exploring the difference that negative painting can make to your piece of watercolour art. We will work together on a piece with the intention of completing the project in our session

​PLEASE NOTE OUR WORKSHOP REGISTRATION POLICIES

​

  1. No one is signed into a workshop until payment is received. All payments are online or through e-transfer or in person at a Meet Up.

  2. First paid is first in the workshop

  3. Participants cannot sign up for part of a workshop at a reduced fee.

  4. Auditing a workshop is not permitted. Everyone must be a participant.

  5. Payment is non-refundable as a financial commitment will already have been made

    to the instructor based on enrolment. (Exception: If the workshop participant must cancel due to critical unforeseen circumstances, and there is a person on the waitlist willing to pay and attend, a refund will be considered on a case by case basis.)

  6. Non-members can register for workshops 30 days after the workshops are open for members and will pay an additional fee of $20/day to enrol in a workshop.
